Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya (GSV), located in Vadodara, is a Central University founded through the Central Universities (Amendment) Act of 2022, enacted by Parliament. Sponsored by the Ministry of Railways, Government of India, GSV is a pioneering institution dedicated to education, multidisciplinary research, and executive training in the fields of transport and logistics.
Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya, originally established as the National Rail and Transportation Institute (NRTI), was inaugurated on September 5, 2018. The renaming was part of the institution's upgradation from a deemed-to-be university to a central university, aimed at expanding its role and capabilities in the field of transportation education and research.

Admission process to various courses in GSV is as follows:
1.Undergraduate Programs(B.TECH):
Eligibility Criteria: 10+2 exams with physics, chemistry and maths – science stream with minimum 55% marks in PCM subjects. For the reserved category candidates, the minimum marks are 50%.
Entrance Test: JEE (Main) 2024 - Admission through JOSAA
Course duration : 4 years

2.MBA Programs (Regular)
Eligibility Criteria: Bachelor's degree in any discipline with Mathematics or Statistics as one of the subjects, with at least 60% marks or at least 6.5/10 Cumulative Performance Index (CPI) or Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA). (50% marks or at least 5.5/10 CGPA/CPI for the reserved category candidates).
Entrance Test: CUET-PG2024/CAT/MAT/XAT

- Eligibility Criteria: Candidates admitted in this category shall be a full-time employee with minimum two years of work experience and sponsored by Industry, R & D organisations, Laboratories, Government. / Private Institutions, NGOs, Banking Institutions, and other Academic Institutions.
- Candidates pursuing fellowship (JRF/SRF) from any funding agencies such as CSIR, DST, UGC etc.
Education requirement (Engg.):
- Applicants with a Master’s degree in Engineering/ Science, namely M.Tech, M.E., M.Sc. (Engineering/ Science) or MS with at least 60% marks or at least 6.5/10 Cumulative Performance Index (CPI) or Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA). Such students are required to have at least 60% marks or 6.5/10 CPI or CGPA in Bachelor’s degree. (50% marks or at least 5.5/10 CGPA/CPI for the reserved category candidates).
- Applicants with a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with B.Tech/B.E. or B.Sc. (Engineering) 4-year degree with at least 80% marks or at least 8/10 CPI or CGPA.

- Master’s degree in Management/Humanities/Social Sciences/Sciences/Engineering or allied areas with at least 60% marks or at least 6.5/10 Cumulative Performance Index (CPI) or Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA).
